As expected, the red version of Nexus 5 has just been made official via Google Play Store. The smartphone is now available for purchase for as low as $350 (€260) for the 16GB model.

Given the fact the handset does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion, customers may want to grab the 32GB variant, which is now available on Google Play Store for $400 (€295).

Judging by the phone's specs sheet this is not a high price at all. Manufactured by LG, the red Nexus 5 comes with the same hardware configuration as the black and white versions.

According to Google, the red Nexus 5 is, or will be, available for purchase in the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, India, Japan, South Korea and the UK.

Other countries may get the device next month, but there's no guarantees the red Nexus 5 will go on sale in other regions than the ones confirmed by Google.
