UK wireless carrier O2 is reportedly gearing up for the launch of Nokia’s Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 720 smartphone next month, and is said to plan on offering the Red flavor of the device exclusively on its network.

A recent post on 3g.co.uk notes that Lumia 720 will be released in the UK in two different color flavors, namely Black and Red, and that the former will be widely available through carriers and retailers.

Unveiled at MWC in Barcelona in February, Lumia 720 arrives on shelves with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, a 1GHz dual-core processor inside, 512MB of RAM, and a 6.7-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The smartphone also features a front camera for making video calls, 8GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, and the usual set of connectivity capabilities packed inside.
