Libvirt is used in a number of different visualization technologies, such as KVM, Xen, VMWare ESX, VirtualBox, and QEMU.

Just like most of the previous releases, the latest version is large and brings numerous fixes and improvements.

According to the changelog, more XML for state tracking has been added, a number of bhyve and nmdm updates have been implemented, and arm and aarch64 now have kvm support with Fedora 20 and upwards.

Moreover, multiple RNG devices are now allowed, cdrom support has been added again, an option for selecting the domdisplay type has been implemented, and a nocow test case has been added.

You can check the official changelog for a complete list of updates, bug fixes, and new features. You can download Libvirt 1.2.7 right now from the official website, and keep in mind that this is provided as a source package.

Some distributions might get the packages in the official repositories sooner than others, like Arch Linux for example, and users of other OSes, like Ubuntu, might have to wait a little more.
