Final Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 release will be here by the end of 2011

Red Hat was pleased to announce on October 5th, that the Beta release of the upcoming Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 operating system is ready for download and testing.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 Beta comes with many updates and improvements especially in the areas of identity management, performance and scaling, advanced storage, networking, and high availability.   Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 Beta includes several kernel-level optimizations implemented in the networking, process scheduler, I/O subsystems, and virtualization.   The XFS and EXT4 filesystem received many improvements, as well as the CPU controller scalability.
