HTC One M8, the latest flagship Android-based device coming from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has already landed on shelves in three color versions, but it seems that it will shortly be released in a new one, namely Red.

At the moment, the phone is up for grabs in Gunmetal Grey, Amber Gold, and Silver through various wireless carriers and retailers in the United States, but Verizon’s customers will also receive access to the Red variant soon, it seems.

The handset has already been rumored to hit shelves at Verizon in Bright Red, yet no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now.

However, courtesy of infamous tipster @evleaks, we can now have a look at the Red version of HTC One M8, which made it online in a leaked press photo.

One thing that is certain now, however, is the fact that it does not come as a surprise that HTC is planning the release of this new color option for the device, given the fact that last year’s flagship, the HTC One, was launched in a Red variant as well.

What remains to be seen, however, is whether the smartphone will be launched outside Verizon’s network as well. Hopefully, that will happen, and users in other countries out there will also be able to purchase it.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when the phone should land on shelves has been provided as of now, and details on its pricing and hardware specs are missing as well.

Chances are that the Red HTC One M8 will be launched with the same price tag as the other color options available at Verizon at the moment, and with exactly the same internals.

This would include the 5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a full HD resolution, as well as a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset comes with 16MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and an aluminum unibody design.

On the back, the phone sports a twin camera sensor, which can record videos in full HD resolution and supports a bunch of features, paired with a 5MP front camera for making video calls while on the go. And for taking great selfies, as HTC teases it.

HTC One M8 also includes the entire set of usual connectivity capabilities and sensors, while running under Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with HTC’s own Sense 6.0 UI loaded on top.
