HTC One M8, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, has been long rumored to arrive on shelves in a new set of color flavors, including a Red one, and some more confirmation on the matter is now available.

A new series of leaked photos with the red flavor of the mobile phone have emerged online, courtesy of mobile01, showing it in all its glory and confirming that it is real, as htcsoku.info notes.

Moreover, the new images with the device have been spotted in Taiwan, suggesting that the Red flavor of the smartphone could arrive on shelves internationally.

Previously, the Red HTC One M8 was rumored to be released only in the United States, on the network of wireless carrier Verizon, but that might not be the case at all.

As you can see in the new photos with the smartphone, the Verizon logo is no longer present on its back, which suggests that the model will not be released at this operator.

No specific info on when the new mobile phone variant might become available has been provided as of now, but chances are that a formal announcement on it will come as soon as tomorrow, May 16.

Details on the smartphone’s availability around the world haven't been revealed either, but it appears that Taiwan and the US will certainly receive it.

In addition to the phone itself, the newly leaked photos also show the retail package of the Red HTC One M8, though they do not unveil what’s inside the box.

The Red HTC One M8 should arrive on the market with the same hardware specifications and capabilities as the original models, including a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display.

Moreover, the smartphone should pack a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

HTC One M8 also features 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, it features a Duo-camera setup, which should provide users with a great imaging experience. At the same time, the handset sports a 5-megapixel front camera, which will certainly prove a great option when it comes to making video calls or taking selfies.

HTC also packed the smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver. Moreover, it included all the usual sensors in it.

HTC One M8 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right from the start, with HTC’s own Sense 6.0 UI loaded on top, capable of offering a nice range of exclusive capabilities and features.
