Samsung’s Galaxy S III is a great device, and the fact that it has recently received the Mobile Choice Awards 2012 certifies this.

When purchased in a color flavor different than the ones available right from the start, the device becomes even more interesting, especially if also coupled with a price cut.

This is the case of the Red version of Galaxy S III, which can be purchased in the UK from Expansys at only £399.99 ($642 / €496) today.

Those of you who would like to take advantage of this flavor of the handset should head over to the retailer’s website on this page to learn more on the available offering.

The phone is being sold SIM-free and unlocked, features 16GB of internal memory, and is said to sport a usual price tag of £550.

It is listed at the retailer as available in stock at the moment, with free delivery over the next 3-5 business days.

Galaxy S III arrives on shelves with a large 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display that can deliver a 1280x720 pixels resolution, while being powered by a 1.4GHz 32nm ARM Cortex A9, Exynos 4212 Quad chipset.

The specs list of this mobile phone also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a 1.9MP front camera for making video calls.

Moreover, it comes with 1GB of RAM, the aforementioned 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

Other specs of this device include WiFi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, support for HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5,76 Mbps networks, microUSB port, NFC, WiFi Hotspot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and built-in GPS receiver with aGPS.

Samsung’s Galaxy S III runs under Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, yet the South Korean mobile phone maker has already confirmed the availability of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for it.
