Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar Games' classic open world western game, might finally make the transition onto the PC platform after quite a few years since it appeared on PS3 and Xbox 360, at least according to a listing found on Microsoft's Windows Compatibility website.

Red Dead Redemption delivered a stunning experience back in 2010, when it appeared for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with a touching story of John Marston set in the Wild West, as well as with a great multiplayer free-roam experience and a complex Undead Nightmare expansion.

Since then, PC owners have begged Rockstar for an adaptation of the game for their platform, but the studio has remained silent about such a possibility.

Now, however, there is a new hope, as listing for Red Dead Redemption on the PC has just been found by a NeoGAF member on Microsoft's Windows Compatibility website.

In case you don't know, Microsoft and its partners use the website to upload compatibility information about their games or applications for different Windows versions.

The Red Dead Redemption listing says the game is compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.

As of yet, however, Rockstar is quiet on the matter so it's unclear if the listing is a fake or if it's legitimate and might lead to a full on announcement of Red Dead Redemption for PC.
