A new Red Dead game has been in development at Rockstar Games since 2010, according to a brand new report that appeared online, claiming that the sequel will soon be shared with the world.

Rockstar Games released last September the highly awaited and hugely successful Grand Theft Auto 5 on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Since then, a lot of rumors concerning a PC edition of GTA 5 have appeared, but Rockstar is staying silent on the matter.

Now, it seems that the company has another big project that will be revealed to the world in the near future, in the form of a new Red Dead game, a sequel to the hit Red Dead Redemption.

According to a report from EMGN, which cites various sources, a Red Dead Redemption 2 will be formally announced in the very near future.

The new western title has been in development at one of Rockstar's regional studios since June of 2010.

Unfortunately, not much else is known about the new game, so it's unclear if it will continue the story started in Red Dead Redemption or if it will deliver something completely new, in the same way Redemption did after Red Dead Revolver.

As usual, Rockstar hasn't commented on the report.
