Energy drink company Red Bull has announced the addition of its TV channel to the home screen of Apple’s $99 / €99 set-top box with on-demand content and curated playlists.

A quote from Variety states that, “Red Bull TV live programming, films, shows and clips are now available to Apple TV users worldwide for free.”

“Launched in 2010, Red Bull TV features ‘inspirational entertainment programming’ designed to promote the beverage and its high-action brand image. Content includes live global events and sports, music and lifestyle entertainment,” reads to the extracted quote.

Apple has been adding channel after channel to its puck-sized TV box for the past year or so in what is an obvious move to combat the existing cable TV business model.

The company is also said to be deploying an all-new version of the Apple TV this year, featuring gaming capabilities, AirPort functionality, and even a built-in TV tuner.
