Red Baron fans will be happy to know that the classic dogfighter game will be coming to PC. The developers have already started a Kickstarter campaign having as goal the sum of $250,000 / € 181,000 until November 22.

For those that might not know the game, Red Baron gives players the opportunity to take the skies in a fighter aircraft, fighting along with your friends or even against them in challenging missions.

Original creator Damon Style announced a new modern version of the classic fight sim. His new company called Mad Otter Games will be focusing on delivering the best WWI dogfighting experience and provide an immersive experience to all future players.

Gamers will be placed in the cockpit of the WWI fighter and will have the chance to put their skills to use, dodging bullets and making numerous flight maneuvers.

Players will be able to see the pilot (themselves) maneuvering the stick, throttle as well as the guns and expect numerous real life details such as g-force effects, blind spots when facing the sun, oil splatters and even dirty windscreens.

The developing team has most recently taken things seriously and are trying their best to bring players captivating and extremely detailed environments starting with the clouds, breathtaking scenery and going as far as the fog and mist.

What is interesting is that devs have tried to capture a gallant flying experience not only by having a realistic placement of every gauge, dial and knob but also delivering the exact psychological challenges that WWS Aces faced.

Red Baron will not only simulate flight characteristics but will also recreate famous historic aces such as the Red Baron himself, Manfred von Richthofen. Players will see how the game brings pieces from reality, an example being Red Baron words “I am a hunter. My brother Lothar is a butcher.”

One can understand that he was the type that stalked his prey without taking any unnecessary risk while his brother was the exact opposite. In the flight sim game, you will definitely not see the Baron diving brashly into combat unless he knew he had the upper hand.

The Mad Otter Games team have reassured fans that they will be staying true to the original vision of Red Baron but will bring modern graphics, enhanced gameplay, MOBA features as well as multiplayer air combat.

More details on what to expect can be found on the game's Kickstarter page.
