A bit of the Uprising add-on

Strategy games are great for PC gamers as the latter have the ability to bind almost any of their keys to actions in the game and use the mouse to basically complete the whole game. But RTS titles have also gained a fair amount of following on the consoles, making developers bring their titles to platforms like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

One such example is Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, which appeared on all three major platforms, though only managed to get an exclusive standalone expansion on the PC, in the form of Red Alert 3: Uprising. Besides new single player missions, players who wanted even more content were offered the Commander's Challenge mode, where they started off with a handful of units and needed to take down other commanders, including famous wrestler Ric Flair, in order to unlock every piece of new technology.

Now, it seems that EA will also bring this new mode to the console versions of Red Alert 3, in an effort to make a bit more money and to reveal to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners what they have been missing on the PC.

“Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Commander's Challenge launches players into action-packed scenarios while going head-to-head against ruthless commanders who will stop at nothing to crush your army,” said Wes Eckhart, Producer of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Commander's Challenge at EA Los Angeles. “Commander's Challenge delivers the ultimate RTS gameplay experience console players have been craving. Delivering over thirty hours of RTS entertainment, it is an incredible value at less than $10.”

Set for release this fall, the DLC will be priced at 10 dollars or 800 Microsoft Points, depending on your preferred console.
