Recycled Wood Guitars

They really recycle

When thinking of traditional musical instruments I guess that "wood" is one of the first things we relate and associate in our minds. Now, you don't need me to tell you that wood is slowly (and unfortunately - fastly in some places) growing scarce because of irrational exploitation.

Several musical instruments manufacturers, most of them guitar manufacturers (Taylor, Martin or Kronodale are a few names) are becoming more and more concerned about the future of both industry and wood supplies.

And since some artists are also concerned about this issue and give all needed
support to this cause (like Sting does), only good things come out: first of all, we save the trees (or at least more than usual).

Secondly, it looks like guitar itself evolves (as you'll see soon below) and some possible thirdly, it relates to actually becoming more aware on very serious planetary issues - which is a very good thing anyway.

Kronodale, unlike other "alternative" manufacturers who have chosen synthetic materials such as luthite or various other chemicals which properties resemble those of the guitar-used wood, have thought of actually recycling the necessary wood!

Kronodale guitars sport a bridge especially designed for them which would retain and sustain as much as a bridge on a regular guitar while the tuners are top-quality pieces from Gotoh, one of the best names in the branch.

The Duesenberg pickups used for the Kronodale Recycled G series provide a fast response and sound warm, especially as they are fit for acoustic replication as well. Funny and joyful thing is that such unconventional guitars are just perfect for rock and metal players!

The pricing isn't a truly scary one as I expected in the first place, but rather fit for exclusive "rock-axes", around $2,000. And if you aren't yet convinced that such guitars exist and they also work, maybe this movie (made by GearWire at the Frankfurt Musikmesse) will clear things up for you.
