Reusing items we are often tempted to discard is an eco-friendly idea wrapped in creativity. A project developed by the creative Joon & Jung helps us give a new meaning to the common egg carton, often recycled with no further benefits.

Instead of boosting the carton recycling rate, designers adopt a different path. They have invented the innovative green egg lamp, made of recycled material and relying on energy-efficient lightning bulbs, Inhabitat informs.

Turning old into new seems like a ingenious method, especially when originality triggers financial savings.

The awesome looking device can replace other expensive lamps found in stores. Even though it could never count as a luxurious alternative, it is powerful enough to provide a decent amount of reading light.

While this invention seems simple and creative, other project signed by Joon & Jung combine natural materials with advanced green technologies, to come up with amazing concepts, such as the Living Light, the Cloud Stool or the fabulous Natural Speakers
