Recuva has received a new update this morning, so in case you’re still running the app, make sure you deploy the new version as soon as possible.

Build number 1.49.1049 comes with several improvements and additions to the feature lineup regardless of the Windows edition, trying to make the recovery process a bit more effective and faster.

The official release notes reveal that the app now comes with Unicode character handling for the file list export function, but also with multi-session UDF support and improved FAT partition file scanning.

In addition, Recuva now boasts enhanced detection of drives with mounted junction points and a better email filter and new .pst file detection.

Of course, the app still offers full compatibility with all Windows versions on the market, so download Recuva right now even if you’ve made the switch to Windows 8.1 or you’re still running the ancient XP.
