Recuva 1.44 Released

Piriform has updated Recuva, their file recovery application, to version 1.44. It is not a major release, but it does include new features that improve the usability of the program.

Recuva 1.44 includes a new option, Recover, for the Recycle Bin context menu and adds support for mini-SD cards. Users of the Pro edition now benefit from VHD drive image creation.

Improvements available in this release touch on Outlook Express data file recovery and support for files with Alternate Data Streams. On the same note, Recuva can now restore deleted files larger than 1GB. Also improved is scrolling in a file list with over one million items.

Additionally, the fresh release should be able to detect correctly exFAT drive labels and adds support for USB drives mounted as the A: drive.
