Recreate Brasil and Portol Alegre, Brazil in 3D with Google Building Maker

Google Building Maker it makes it easy for anyone to create 3D models of the buildings in their town or from across the world, to showcase in Google Earth. However, the tool relies on aerial imagery for the area that it covers, meaning that it's not available in all cities, in most cities in fact, of the world.

Now, Google is including support for a couple of more places in Brazil, the capital Brasil and Porto Alegre.

Brasil in particular, with its unique architecture and layout, due to it being a planned city, built from the ground up in a few years, should prove very interesting for 3D modeling enthusiasts.

With the two additions, Building Maker now supports 124 cities. The web based tool is also trivial to use, so if you've though about modeling, or have a passion for architecture but never really though you could make your own recreations, Building Maker is for you.
