Apple addresses a flaw that prevented importation of Photo Stream content

A minor update to Aperture may represent a great deal for avid users of the professional photography app as it helps fix a missing-photos problem.

Feedback from customers picking up on the Photo Stream feature in iCloud has revealed to Apple that if a Photo Stream exceeds 1,000 images, older images auto-imported from Photo Stream may no longer appear in Aperture 3.2.1.

According to reports from Aperture users, this happens even if the preference to auto-import images from the Photo Stream is activated.

To address this issue, Apple has launched Aperture 3.2.2 - a free update to all users of the application. It’s immediately available in the Mac App Store or via Software Update.

After updating, users must open Aperture and hold down the Command and Option keys until the Library First-Aid window appears, then choose the Repair Database option and click the Repair button.
