An NGO in Romania has set the record for world's largest flag, creating a red, blue and yellow flag that needed 200 people for transportation.

According to Geeko System, the record was set near the capital city of Bucharest, in the rural area of Clinceni. It was carried there and displayed by volunteers.

The large flag has been made of out fabric, and it measures 1,145 by 744.5 feet (349 by 227 meters).

That makes its surface over 853,478 square feet (72,290 square meters) large, thus setting a new world record.

Guinness World Records has recognized the feat and awarded the organization the relevant title. The previous landmark was set by a group in Lebanon with a flag measuring 706,651 square feet (65,650 square meters).
