After shooting to international fame with her much-derided debut song “Friday,” which generated just as negative a reaction with fans for its official video, Rebecca Black is ready to get back in the saddle. Details on her upcoming single are out.

Initial reports had it that, right after “Friday” came out, Black went into the studio to start work on her debut album and a follow-up single for the ridiculed weekend anthem.

The name of the second single was believed to be “LOL” but, because it was too similar in sound to “Friday,” Black has decided to switch it up a bit for her next release, AceShowbiz informs.

As such, she’s coming out with a song and a video about her rise to stardom and how it turned her life into a genuine fairytale.

“Rebecca Black gets ready to release her second single. Instead of dropping a text message-themed single ‘LOL,’ which is in similar vein to her debut single ‘Friday,’ like she previously planned, the YouTube sensation is going to release a single titled ‘My Moment’ which narrates her story to the stardom,” AceShowniz writes.

In all fairness, a song and video documenting Rebecca’s amazing and, no doubt, enviable rise to stardom, would be countless times more appealing to same-age fans than anything else, including a song called “LOL.”

What’s even better, said fans won’t even have to wait much longer for the new release.

“The ‘Friday’ hitmaker will unleash the song on her official website and YouTube channel starting at 8 P.M. on July 18 and make it available for download on iTunes the following day,” the aforementioned e-zine writes.

The single will be followed by the release of Black’s first album, which will include five tracks. It comes out in August and, so far, no word yet on whether it will also include “Friday.”

“Staying true to the story behind the song, its music video will feature Black receiving an award on her last day at junior high school. She will gain an overnight fame and start attending red carpet premieres and other coveted events,” AceShowbiz says of the video for the second single.
