She’s determined to prove her critics wrong and what better way to do that than to show them that, even if her debut single was heavily auto-tuned, she too can sing live. Rebecca Black performed on America’s Got Talent YouTube show the other night.

We know her as the most hated person on the Internet, the one responsible for the best worst song (and video) ever released: YouTube phenomenon Rebecca Black.

She shot to fame with her much-derided “Friday” and is now working on launching a proper career in music, so her performance on AGT was also for promotional purposes.

Dressed in a sparkly top and tight pants, the 13-year-old aspiring singer kicked off her live performance with the words to her latest single, the first off her upcoming album, “My Moment.”

“Were you the one who said that I would be nothing, Well, I’m about to prove you wrong,” she sang, before launching into a more rock’n’roll and auto-tune-less version of her viral hit “Friday.”

Dancers immediately join Rebecca on stage, as she tries a few dance moves herself. She ends the performance up on the stairs, standing tall, fist pumping the air and declaring that “this is my moment.”

While, throughout the entire performance, it’s somewhat hard to make out the crowd’s reaction to the song, the judges on the panel don’t even try to hide what they thought of it once it’s over.

After that last final shot of Rebecca with her fist in the air, the camera quickly pans to Piers Morgan, whose expression does all the talking for him: he’s looking terribly upset about what he’s just seen.

Fellow judge Sharon Osbourne seems to believe the same, as she leans towards Piers, looks behind them at the cheering crowd and is in complete disbelief that they’re welcoming Rebecca with such warmth.

Rebecca Black’s debut album comes out this month. Until then, check out the video below.
