After updating its PCIe controllers through Realtek LAN Driver 106.10, 7.089, and 8.035 just yesterday, the producer has now made available new network drivers for its USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter, namely the RTL8153.

Specifically speaking, Realtek has provided LAN driver versions 5.007, 6.003, and 7.012, compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, and 7 operating systems, respectively, as well as version 8.017 targeted at Windows 8 and 8.1 platforms (also both bit architectures).

In order to update to one of these versions, simply save and unzip the proper archive for your system configuration, run the available setup from the newly created folder, click “Next” then “Install,” and wait for the installation to complete.

When the new version has been successfully applied, it would be best to perform a manual system reboot to make sure all changes take effect properly. However, if the installer requests this task, allow it to perform the restart automatically.   Bear in mind that, even though the drivers might be compatible with other operating systems, we don’t recommend applying them on platforms other than the aforementioned ones.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best suits your system OS, follow the above described steps, and update your USB 3.0 network controller. Also, check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
