Realmac Software, the makers of Mac apps including LittleSnapper, RapidWeaver and QuickSnapper, have updated their blog with a big announcement for their customers. Beginning now, Realmac will no longer be offering technical support via the forums, but rather a “shiny new help desk area” that allows users to open discussions with the Realmac Software team and use the FAQ system to find information.

Additionally, Realmac reveals, current email support channels have now been moved to the new system. If, as a customer, you send Realmac an email, you'll be moved over to the new system automatically. The company details the move in a blog post, which begins outlining the reasons why these support changes were in order.

“For some time now, we've been running a secondary Helpdesk support channel alongside our incredibly popular forums,” says Nik, of Realmac software. “After looking at ways to ensure that our technical support is the very best around, we're today announcing some big changes to how we provide support for LittleSnapper, RapidWeaver and QuickSnapper.”

“From the end of today, we will no longer offering [sic] technical support via the forums,” reads the post dating July 03 at 03:39 PM. “Instead, we're going to be offering support via a shiny new help desk area. The system we're using allows folks to open discussions with the Realmac Software team as well as use the powerful FAQ system to find answers [...] The community forums remain a great place for users to chat, share tips, and help each other out with things that we cannot support (for example, theme modifications) and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our forum moderators and posters for their contributions,” Nik writes on the Realmac Software Blog.

According to the forum post, the Realmac team will continue to be present on the forums to talk about “all things Realmac.” All previous discussions about LittleSnapper and RapidWeaver technical support remain in an archive located here. The team at Realmac promises to release new video tutorials and FAQs for its software.
