RealPlayer has been updated to a new build that sports several improvements, among which compatibility with Firefox 10, and bug fixes. No new features are available in this release.

Version 15.0.2.72 of RealPlayer takes care of an issue that caused the application to crash when cancelling a conversion process, one that resulted in failure to play certain SMIL presentations and another that made the Equalizer unresponsive.

Improvements in this release touch on calibration for accelerated transfer and conversion as well as burning performance, where steps have been taken to reduce errors and prevent crashes. Additionally, the quality of 1080p video burned to AVCHD discs has also been bettered.

The current build dealt with several security problems, which are detailed in this post.
