RealPix introduces the widest lens of any point&shoot camera

If you work in real estate, you probably know that a picture from a house listing is really worth more than a thousand words. Bad pictures can turn your buyers off, while good photos will grab people's attention and help you sell a home faster. Here's something that might catch your attention. The RealPIX camera targets real-estate agents and tries to lose the not-so-futile professional photographers.

The camera sports a big wide angle lens (22mm) allowing better coverage of rooms and also a massive flash that will bring the "big light" even in the most obscure rooms (don't try this during nighttime). The lens also has an extremely wide maximum aperture of f/2.0, which helps reduce ambient light blur by enabling faster shutter speeds. No wonder 80% of its costs were invested into the lens and flash system. No word about the zoom or megapixels, but that doesn't mean its maker is not trying to hide the sensor size. It comes with 400 picture onboard memory, 640 X 480 pixel resolution, battery charges via USB, AC/Car/USB travel chargers, USB cable and Lithium Polymer battery.

Why nobody has ever a built a digital camera just for real estate brokers? Here's the answer to this question. If you look at the difference between professional photos and the ones taken by real-estate agents with digital cameras, it's not hard to see that an "ultra-mega-wide angle lens" will never whisper real estate brokers where to sit and when to push the shutter button.

The Real pix costs about 300$ and it will begin shipping on July the 10th. It doesn't come with a "stitch photos" option that could help you make "panoramic" room photos, so you'd better pay an extra 100$ and go with the ultra-wide-angle lens Kodak V 705.
