Ricky Gervais, who is not only a gifted comedian (and one of my personal favorites, I must admit), but also a defender of animal rights, recently took to Twitter to take a stand against hunting.

The comedian explained that there was a proper way to shoot animals, and that real men alone have knowledge of it.

Not to keep you in suspense, Ricky Gervais believes that taking pictures of wild creatures in their natural habitat is the right way to “shoot” them.

“Take a picture, not a trophy,” the comedian wrote in his message to his Twitter followers, as cited by Ecorazzi. “This is how real men shoot animals,” he went on to explain, and linked to the picture above.

This is not the first time when this animal lover has something to say about hunting and the people who practice this sport.

Thus, in November 2013, he invented a new moniker for hunters, and argued that, “Sport is fair. If hunting was a sport the animal would have a gun too.”
