Idea Shower, the company behind the popular Read It Later application has just announced that the Android version is now available for download.

Initially launched for desktop PCs, the software has managed to enter the Top 10 News app on the iPhone and iPad.

Over 3 million people are currently using Read it Later to better manage their online reading across every major platform, now including Android as well.

Read It Later allows users to view and/or add to their reading list from any computer or mobile device.

Furthermore, users will be able to save articles from any device such as computers, browsers, phones, mobile devices and within over 130 applications that have Read It Later support.

Exclusively, the Android version features Push syncing and enables users who add a new item to the application to instantly download it to their Android device. More importantly, articles saved from any device will be available for reading on the phone even without an internet connection.

According to the developer, Read It Later downloads all articles for offline reading. In addition, the application can download both the complete webpage and the Article View for reading offline.

Articles saved are archived, but users will be able to search, sort or even tag them whenever they need.

Another interesting tweak is that the application remembers the scroll's position in every article, thus users will be able to continue reading on their computers from where they left off on their phones.

In Article View, only text, images, captions and videos from an article are shown. This might give users a cleaner and more consistent reading experience regardless of the location from where the article came from. Additionally, users will be able to adjust the text size, font, alignment and many others.

Read It Later is compatible with devices running Android 2.1 or later and can be downloaded from Android Market for $0.99.
