14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Varia Games has confirmed the planned release for its upcoming game ReVeN on multiple platforms, including the Wii U and PC.
The Metroid-inspired platformer is set in a sci-fi setting and features 2D platforming and shooting, allowing its players to explore the underworld of a mysterious planet called XR-Keres, as MyNintendoNews reports.
Players navigate the atmospheric world with SyRek, an autonomous android adopted from a drone espionage program that can adapt to any situation by employing his energy divergence module and technological assimilation system.
The game's weapon system is designed so that the weapons have different functionality but about the same fire-power, so players have to pick the best tool for the job at hand while engaging enemies.
The game is currently in its alpha state, and Varia Games will begin its Kickstarter campaign at the beginning of January.
