Since having the latest hardware and gaming peripherals won't really deliver a complete and immersive gaming experience unless accompanied by great-quality audio, Razer has decided to add yet another product to its gaming speakers lineup, namely the Ferox, an ultraportable stereo speaker set capable of delivering 360 degrees, omni-directional sound. According to the manufacturer, the audio system is capable of delivering 360 degree omni-directional sound for all round clarity, while also featuring an expanded bass resonance chamber for powerful bass, coupled with digital amplification for enhanced power efficiency.

Furthermore, the Ferox sports 30mm drivers, while relying on a 3.5-mm jack for connecting to an audio system, whether we're talking about a computer or a media player, which makes it compatible with virtually any source of audio out there (after all, most notebooks, Internet tablets and even smartphones come equipped with 3.5-mm audio outputs these days).

As mentioned before, portability is one of the Ferox' main selling points, the device sporting rechargeable non-replaceable in-built batteries, that should deliver up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge, while users can also play audio and charge them in the same time.

The speaker system also sports a LED battery status indicator for easy monitoring, seamless switch between On/Off-mode and a carrying pouch for maximum portability, which means that the Ferox can be easily transported just about anywhere the user might need it.

"The Razer Ferox is our sophisticated, modern day boombox for gamers," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, president, Razer USA. "Its sleek and compact structure takes up minimal space but delivers the crystal clear sound quality perfect for gaming on-the-go or for music playback wherever you're at."

The Razer Ferox is set to become available worldwide by the end of January 2011 and will sell for around US$59.99 or 59.99 Euro, respectively.
