Don't hold your breath, though, because stocks are still limited

Razer is a very well-known brand on the market of gaming peripherals, but it doesn't always live up to its promises.

The Tiamat 7.1 headset will probably be the cause of disappointment and/or frustration for some, not because of specs but because of availability.

After having already left customers waiting for several months (it was supposed to ship in December, 2011), the headset is only available in limited quantities.

“The Razer Tiamat is shipping worldwide today and stocks are limited. We're making them as fast as we can,” CEO Min-Liang Tan tweeted.

No price was given, but it will probably be higher than what most can afford, especially when factoring in the strained supply. Whether the 7.1-channel audio is worth it on this type of audio product is something that buyers will have to decide on their own.
