Linking two brands together for marketing purposes is something that often happens, and razer did this very thing when it put together the newest Collector's Edition mouse range.

When it comes to mice and other peripherals, Razer is one of the companies that periodically launches something or other.

Of course, like any long-lived company, the outfit is well versed in the arts of crossing one brand with another, or more of them.

Also, since peripherals are the sort of PC component that is always in view, design plays a special role in drawing customers.

The outfit's latest mouse promotion strategy involves relying on the “Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon” movie.

More specifically, Razer has prepared the Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon Collector’s Edition.

Four DeathAdder Mice make up the line, along with a dual-sided Razer Vespula mouse mat.

Performance-wise, they are all identical to one another, from the ergonomic, right-handed design to the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustments.

The infrared sensors feature a precision of 3500dpi, while the response time is of 1ms (1000Hz Ultrapolling rate).

Furthermore, the Ultraslick mouse feet ensure silence while dragging (60 – 120 inches per second and 15 g of acceleration).

Other things that seal their status as gaming accessories include a gold-plated USB connector and 5 independently programmable Hyperesponse buttons.

Finally, the mice boast lightweight, braided fiber cables and their shapes (and colors) evoke Optimus Prime Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Shockwave.

The mice are up for sale in North America at $59.99 (44.06 Euro) and Q4 will see other regions get them. Razer also threw in an exclusive laptop case in four iconic Transformers brand colors.

"The Transformers franchise has never been more mind-blowing. Especially now with the Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie, a blockbuster hit across the globe," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, president, Razer USA. "Fans, whether long-time or newcomers thanks to the films, will love the Transformers product line we've designed. It'll give you our best gaming-grade peripherals wrapped up in the designs of the famed robot universe."
