Your desktop is full of items and you can't find a place for your precious iPod, right? Razer's proposed solution is Protype, a programmable Multimedia Keyboard that comes with an iPod dock. This device is the first keyboard that doubles as a docking solution, enabling easy synchronizing with your computer. It can also charge your iPod while you listen to music.

Razer's Protype comes with smart keyboard functions like enhanced key response and customizable profiles for lots of applications and users. It allows you to configure 10 customizable profiles, as well as to switch profiles and launch applications using its 10 programmable keys. It also lets you switch, on the fly, keyboard profiles upon program detection. The Protype also features a one-touch hub to media programs and computer functions, which boasts a line-out and 2 USB ports so you can connect it to your peripherals. Ultra touch-sensitive keys include power on/off, undo, visual (zoom in or out, 100% scale) and, of course, a button that activates iTunes.

Ipod nano (1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd generation), i Pod Mini, iPod with click wheel, iPod color display and iPod with video, all these can fit&sit silently into this keyboard-dock combo.

The ivory white silver is sleekly designed and it's also as ergonomic as a keyboard can get. Protype was developed by a specialized team of professionals, so there's no need to worry about developing a hunch back. Maybe, but probably not.

The device retails for a cent short of 130 US$ and you can hope for a 50% price reduction if you get it from a Razer store (nice marketing strategy).
