Many people don't use them, but mouse mats are very good accessories for those that spend a long time playing shooters or other games on their PCs. After all, too much and the wrist will start getting welts.

Razer, being one of the world's premier suppliers of PC peripherals and gaming hardware, has launched the Goliathus Orange Esports edition mouse mat.

The name includes Esports because Razer is one of the main supporters of eSports, and Orange Esports, Malaysia's premier eSports team.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Orange Esports was founded in 2011 and holds the best real-time strategy and first-person shooter players in Malaysia.

They have made a name for themselves in Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournaments.

"The level of energy and passion from Orange Esports is remarkable," said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. "Launching the Razer Goliathus Orange Esports edition mouse mat is just the beginning of a great partnership. Razer intends to continue working closely with Orange Esports to raise their game and profile in the global arena."

The Razer Goliathus mouse mat sells with a redemption card that unlocks an exclusive in-game Orange Esports Dota 2 pennant.

Pre-orders are already underway through the Team Orange online store and will be selling at all Orange Cyber cafés beginning 12 August 2013.

"The Razer Goliathus mouse mat is easily one of the most iconic peripherals from Razer," said Frank Ng, Orange Esports CEO and founder. "We are the first eSports team in South-East Asia to have a team edition product and this is something we are extremely proud of."

The price of the Razer Goliathus Orange Esports edition mouse mat is RM89.00. That sum corresponds to roughly $28 and €21.25, according to exchange rates as they were at the time of this article's writing.
