When hearing about a green electronic product, one's mind usually drifts to the ideas of high energy efficiency and, perhaps, lack of toxic materials, but peripheral maker Razer decided to stick to a more literal interpretation and came up with the Orca pair of headphones that is colored venomous green and seeks to land on the head of any enthusiast gamer.

The Orca are designed in such a way as to allow for the easy switch between gaming and listening to music, even as the product comes with both a shorter standard braided cable, for music on the go, as well as a braided 2 meter extension cable for desktop gaming.

The headphones also feature an ergonomic comfort design, a 3.5 mm jack and enhanced drivers. As for the design, Orca feature a circumaural design, for comfort, as well as a lightweight and secure feel.

"The Razer Orca marks Razer's foray into the lifestyle audio world," said Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, president, Razer USA.

"We specifically designed the Razer Orca for the consumer who demands unmatched comfort and the utmost style, who also happens to game. We wanted a pair of headphones that could transition from your gaming den to the subway by adding a cool look to great gaming sound."

“This stylish pair of headphones features a comfortable ergonomic design with quality sound and an ultra sleek look featuring Razer's distinct, venomous green color. Razer unites the music enthusiast with the hardcore gamer to bring you the coolest pair of headphones to hit the streets,” states the press release.

Unfortunately, as it often occurs with the more curious pieces of hardware, the venomous green-colored Razer Orca headphones have not yet become available, but they should not take long in beginning to ship.

In fact, according to the press release, shipments will start this very month through Razerzone, though the exact day is not yet known, for a price of US $59.99. Finally, worldwide availability will ramp up in Q3.
