Razer's DeathAdder gaming mouse is, without a doubt, one of the gaming world's truly iconic peripherals, being not only one of the first professional products of this type to make their way onto the market, but also one of the best, so well worth an anniversary edition, after being around for 5 years now. So, in order to honor one of their best-selling products, Razer released the Black Edition, a special, improved version of their legendary mouse that simplifies the DeathAdder’s form factor design with new non-slip rubber sides.

The gaming mouse also sports a 3500dpi Razer Precision 3.5G infrared sensor, delivering 1000Hz Ultrapolling / 1ms response, and comes equipped with 5 independently programmable Hyperesponse buttons.

Additionally, the mouse delivers On-the-Fly Sensitivity adjustments, as well as zero-acoustic Razer gaming grade Ultraslick mouse feet that enable it to reach speeds of 60 – 120 inches per second and 15g of acceleration.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that the mouse sports a gold-plated USB connector, 7-ft lightweight, braided fiber cable and measures 128 x 70 x 42.5 mm.

“The DeathAdder legacy is something we’re immensely proud of here at Razer,” said Min-Liang Tan, CEO and creative director, Razer, adding that “we set out five years ago to create the most ergonomically perfect mouse; conducting extensive research which panned thousands of simulations and models. We even obsessed down to a micro-angle of the profile’s curvature.”

“The result is a mouse that becomes an extension of the gamer’s hand, the ultimate device for gaming precision. We’re releasing the DeathAdder Black Edition to celebrate every gamer’s victory and every satisfaction thanks to its exceptionally precise design,” concluded Razer's creative director.

Pricing for the Razer DeathAdder Black Edition has been set at US$59.99 or EU €59.99, and if you're already considering getting one you should know that it will only become available worldwide over the course of February (for now, it's only available online via Razer's own website).
