Raytheon now has two cyber-focused facilities in Texas. On Monday, the company announced the launch of a new cyber center in San Antonio.

The company’s representatives are confident that the new center will provide them with the room they need to grow.

“Raytheon is excited to be growing its presence in ‘Cyber City USA’ as San Antonio plays a significant role in developing the talent and delivering the technologies that our customers have come to rely on as they keep their edge in the cyber domain,” noted Jack Harrington, vice president of Raytheon’s Cybersecurity and Special Missions.

On Monday, Raytheon also announced working on the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Plan X program.

Plan X aims to help government agencies with planning, executing and assessing cyber network operations. Raytheon has been given $6 million (€4.3 million) to develop network mapping and graph analysis technologies.

Last week, the company was awarded $75 million (€54 million) to help the US Navy complete remaining hardware and electronics for the DDG 1000 and 1001 guided missile destroyer programs.
