The PS4 edition of Rayman Legends will impress players through a variety of new features, including the lack of loading screens and the special camera mode, according to Ubisoft, which has shared a few more details about the new version of the puzzle platformer.

Rayman Legends appeared last summer on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PS Vita platforms and Ubisoft is now preparing to debut PS4 and Xbox One versions of the great-looking puzzle platformer.

While talking with the PS blog, Ubisoft's Senior Game Designer Emile Morel confirmed that two of the big features in the PS4 edition, the lack of loading screens and the camera mode, would certainly impress players, as they really stunned the actual developers.

"Without a doubt, our engineers are the ones who have worked the most to optimize the game on PS4 and remove the loading time. It may seem pretty trivial when it’s said like that, but the element of not having a loading time when you enter or exit a level actually changes the gaming experience," he said.

"I remember the first time we were able to test the game without the loading time: we spent time entering and exiting the tables, just for the pleasure of seeing the levels start immediately. It was almost two years of knowing the game with the loading time, so suddenly not having it really changed the experience."

What's more, the PS4 exclusive Camera mode, which allows players to pause the action by pressing the DualShock 4 touchpad and then zoom around to find the perfect screenshot, is also great for showing off the impressive artwork from the game.

"The development of Camera Mode was particularly interesting as well, because it is a great tool for players to finally see all the details that our artists have placed in the character animations and decorations (including the backgrounds)."

"When this mode was available, we played a lot trying to create the craziest images by stopping the game at the best moments. I cannot wait to see the crazy images that the community will create using this mode!"

Rayman Legends launches for PS4 and Xbox One on February 18 in North America and on February 28 in Europe.
