Ubisoft has just revealed a few more details about Rayman Legends on the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles, confirming new release dates for the new versions as well as technical aspects like timed achievements on Xbox One and touchpad functionality on PS4.

Rayman Legends amazed quite a lot of fans back in September of 2013 when it appeared for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita.

Recently, Ubisoft has confirmed that the stunning puzzle platformer will also appear on the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles.

Now, after sharing some details late last year, the company has revised the game's release date, bringing it forward by one week. As such, Rayman Legends is arriving on the PS4 and Xbox One on February 18 in North America and February 21 in Europe and the rest of the world.

What's more, the publisher has also revealed on the UbiBlog more info about the timed achievements available in the Xbox One edition of the game.

"On Xbox One, you’ll find 10 exclusive challenges that you have to complete in a limited amount of time. They’re in addition to the existing achievements on Xbox 360 and that will also be in the Xbox One version. These challenges require you to perform specific actions during a limited amount of time (one week). They are associated with various aspects of the game, such as player skills, co-op play, Kung Foot, and so on," the company said.

On the PS4, however, Ubisoft has taken advantage of the DualShock 4 controller's touchpad and uses it in many different ways, from taking better screenshots, to scratching lucky tickets and more.

"Right away we saw how the PS4 touchpad could be a great tool to show players all the amazing details our artists have put inside the visuals and the animations of the game. That’s why we created the Camera Mode using this touchpad."

"By pressing the touchpad once, you freeze the game and enter Camera Mode. In this mode, by moving your fingers on the touchpad you can zoom in and out and also pan to adjust the frame. When you’re happy with your picture, you just have to press the Share button on the PS4 controller to share this picture with everyone."

You can expect to hear a bit more about Rayman Legends on the PS4 and Xbox One as we get closer to its release on the new devices next month.
