Ubisoft has confirmed that, with the release of Rayman Legends on the Wii U, it's taken offline the free Challenges application which had been offered to owners of the Nintendo platform earlier this year.

Rayman Legends was initially set to debut only for Wii U, but Ubisoft subsequently delayed the game in order to release it for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita.

In order to make amends with Wii U owners, it launched an exclusive Challenges application that allowed fans to compete in different online trials for a spot on a leaderboard.

Now, seeing as how Rayman Legends has been officially released worldwide, Ubisoft has confirmed that the Challenges app has been taken offline, meaning players can no longer access the free experience, according to CVG.

The challenge experience is a part of the full Rayman Legends game and should keep players coming back to it after completing the story campaign.
