Video game publisher Ubisoft announces that its upcoming Rayman Legends will also be launched on the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony, in addition to the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the Wii U, offered on the same dates at the end of August.

The Vita version of the platforming title will include five new exclusive maps which will feature Murphy, a greenbottle fly that fans are already familiar with, as the main character, according to AllGamesBeta.

The development team has designed the character to be controlled with the rear touch pad of the PlayStation Vita, creating a unique experience for the Rayman series.

Ubisoft is also delivering two new costumes, allowing players to dress Rayman in a costume taken from Prince of Persia, while Globox can become a Splinter Cell spy.

The game also includes multiplayer via Wi-Fi, online challenges, and leaderboards.
