When rumors that Whitney Houston is dating Brandy's younger brother Ray J, there were a lot of raised eyebrows and many people wondered at the 18 years gap and the different backgrounds and life priorities of the two singers. Plus, let's not forget that Ray J has quite a reputation for enjoying a little bit of womanizing - not to mention his other remarkable hobby, namely celebrity sex tapes. For those of you who forgot, this is the guy we can all admire (against a small fee, of course) having sex with Kim Kardashian on the tape that turned the rich but anonymous socialite into a famously rich socialite. Ray J has an album coming out this month, and on one of the tracks he makes a rather explicit reference of his sex life with Houston, mentioning a few things that could very well be filed under "too much information".
One of Ray J's newest songs is called "Boyfriend", and the exact lyrics are "is that your wife, is that your shorty? Well I'm her boyfriend... I think the problem is you don't beat it right... Making love is cool, just pull her hair sometimes". Ouch. Well, what more could we say except "watch out, Bobby Brown". The fact is, it's quite sad to see a huge star the likes of Houston talked about in that manner by a kid who is almost half her age and who lacks any of her talent. It's also quite disturbing to imagine that Whitney has a 15-year-old daughter who might be into listening to the kind of music that Ray J makes and might therefore be prone to hearing her mother's boyfriend talking about her own mother in not-so-very-respectful tone.
Whitney's former husband, Bobbie Brown, doesn't seem to be taking this whole "I'm banging your wife, live with it" situation too lightly, and addresses the issue of Houston's relationship with Ray J in his tell-all The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But... "Their relationship doesn't bother me. She's open to see whoever she wants to see, just like I can see who I want to see," he claims. "I know the age difference between her and the little guy is 20 years, but to each his own. The only concern I had was how our daughter felt about the age difference. As long as she's cool with it, it's fine by me." This still sounds like sour grapes, however. Stay tuned for more news.
