It is much smaller than the RV01 and still supports common PC motherboards

When SilverStone launched the Ravel RV01, a long time ago, it flummoxed everyone with its size of 114 liters. Other Raven series models came out since then, and now we get to see the latest.

Called SilverStone Raven RV05, it has ”only” 55 liters and can handle most personal computer-suited motherboard form factors: micro-ATX, ATX, SSI-CEB, etc.

CEB, short for Compact Electronics Bay Specification, defines the normal shape and features of a dual-socket motherboard. The Server System Infrastructure (SSI) Forum is behind this specification.

Raven RV05 is spacious enough even for broader than usual motherboards, but has no 5.25-inch bay.

It does get seven expansion slots though, a top-oriented PSU bay, two 3.5-inch bays and two 2.5-inch bays.

Two 180 mm bottom intake fans exist as well, along with space for 120mm exhaust and, if opted for, a 280 x 140 mm radiator to complement the bottom fans.

There's a top I/O panel too of course, with two USB 3.0 ports, and HDA front-panel audio jacks.
