Just in case people don't have an HDMI output on their PC

Most PCs and a lot of other consumer electronics devices have HDMI outputs nowadays, but just in case your system doesn't, Ratoc has the solution.

Sure, you'll need an USB 3.0 port for it to work, but if you do have a product that, as odd as it sounds, has USB 3.0 but couldn't be bothered to integrate HDMI (or didn't manage to fit one of those connectors), this is all you need.

Granted, the REX-USB3HDMI, as it is called, works over USB 2.0 too, but video probably won't play very well in that case.

Anyway, what's interesting about this little thing is that, thanks to a DL-3500 DisplayLink chipset, it can transmit video in resolutions of up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. It can even plug into USB 3.0 hubs without any performance loss.

Alas, the item is only for sale in Japan, for now anyway. The price is 10,500 JPY ($131 / 97 Euro).
