Ratchet and Clank fans from PAL regions (Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East) can rejoice as their long awaited high-definition edition of Ratchet: Gladiator HD is going to be released on the PlayStation Store and will be free for those who got Ratchet & Clank: Qforce.

The Ratchet & Clank series has delighted millions of PlayStation console owners over the course of many years. For the PS3 and PS Vita, developer Insomniac has decided to bring back some of its older titles so that new and old fans can experience them once more.

The latest game to get the remake treatment is Ratchet: Gladiator, the special PS2 title that focused primarily on Ratchet and saw him take on many new foes.

After appearing earlier this year in North America as Ratchet: Deadlocked HD, the game is finally out today, September 25, for PlayStation Store users in PAL regions as Ratchet: Gladiator HD, according to Insomniac Games' Facebook page.

The game will be offered for free to those who got Ratchet& Clank: Qforce in that region as compensation for the lengthy wait they had to endure for the PS Vita edition of that title.
