The third installment of the Ratchet & Clank franchise incorporates new elements of gameplay not seen previously in the series, including online and offline multiplayer capabilities that will appeal to a wide variety of players. Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal returns gamers to Planet Veldin, the setting of the original Ratchet & Clank, where the duo set off on a gripping new adventure through a multitude of diverse planets to fight for galactic peace. Players will be able to earn up to 20 weapons (including online and offline) with up to four levels of upgrades for most weapons, plus new high-tech gadgets to help them through their journey.
The multiplayer gameplay featured in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal is naturally suited for both the offline and online universe because it
includes the variety of weapons, gadgets, vehicles and gameplay made famous throughout the Ratchet & Clank franchise. For those who want to experience the split screen multiplayer capabilities, up to four players can play offline, while the multiplayer online mode accommodates up to eight players over a broadband connection.

Free Ammo and Health Go to any challenge like Annihilation Nation, start the challenge and quit and it refills your ammo and health.
Free weapons Although you can buy any of these weapons during the game, you can get them free from Slim Cognito on Aquatos at certain times in the game if you have a Ratchet & Clank:Going Commando save file on your memory card. The weapons are, Miniturret Glove, Lava Gun, Shield Charger, Bouncer and Plasma Coil.
Get a discount on weapons If you have a save from Ratchet and Clank 1, you get a 10% discount on weapons when you buy them. Save must be past the 2nd hoverboard race.
Re-play completed Hacker puzzles To re-play a completed Hacker puzzle: Stand in front of it, hold R1, then press Triangle.
Skip Quark vidcomics Go to the game system on Starship Phoenix with a vidcomic that you haven't beaten yet. Now select the level of the unplayed vidcomic. Scroll up to the first one and press Up again. If it's the fifth vidcomic then press Up yet again. As long as from the first vidcomic you get back to selecting the latest unplayed vidcomic, press X to play. The game prompts to skip the level. Agreeing will finish the level with no records. In Challenge Mode, it will show no records EXCEPT the best time you got during your first try in the game.
