As most biologists will explain when asked, witnessing the birth of a white Bengal tiger is a once-in-a-lifetime type of event, so the fact that three such cubs were recently born in a zoo in the Czech Republic is nothing short of a miracle.

Hoping to place this species under the spotlight and push for conservation efforts, zoo members decided to get the public actively involved in the lives of these three cubs.

Thus, they asked that ordinary folks help name one of them by voting for one of the five options made available: Liam, Samburu, Sigmar, Titan or Woody.

Sources report that white Bengal tigers are rarely ever seen in the wild, primarily because their having this fur color does not allow them to blend in with their surroundings all that well.

Therefore, either they get attacked by predators as cubs, or – should they reach maturity – they cannot hunt as efficiently as ordinary tigers can, simply because their prey has no issues in noticing them.
