It’s getting increasingly hard to keep track of DMX’s run-ins with the law. For the second time in as many months, the rapper was arrested and taken into custody.

He’s already out of jail and back home, his rep says for the Daily Mail.

The same publication reports that the arrest followed an illegal U-turn that the rapper made with his truck in South Carolina.

When he was pulled over, the officer noticed that there was an outstanding warrant on his name. drugs were also found in the car.

“The 42-year-old entertainer, born Earl Simmons, was a passenger in a truck that was stopped late on Tuesday for an illegal U-turn, according to city police in Greer,” the British tab writes.

“Officers arrested Simmons after realizing he had an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension, authorities said. Police also found marijuana in the truck, and Simmons and the driver, 39-year-old Anitra Shalawn Rhodes of Greenville, South Carolina, were charged with simple possession,” says the report.

The rapper’s publicist has also issued a statement to say that the other man in the truck was his assistant and that they’d been traveling for work.

According to the rep, police did not find any drugs on DMX’s person or car, which contradicts the official police report and statement.

Just last month, the rapper, who has spent a lot of time behind bars in recent years, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and driving without his seatbelt.

He was taken into custody and released shortly afterwards and, as we also reported at the time, his rep called the whole thing a misunderstanding.

However, video of the arrest emerged (as shot by the police dash cam), proving that DMX was so intoxicated that he was heavily slurring his words – and, later, fell asleep several times in the police vehicle.
