It’s been a while since anything was heard on rapper Coolio, but now he’s back in the spotlight, having been invited to appear on the “Celebrity Big Brother” UK reality show. However, for once, it’s not for his music that the rapper is holding the headlines, but rather for believing that high powers are at work all around us.
For starters, we can just as well forget Microsoft and Apple Inc. because neither has anything to do with the machines that are ever-present in our houses. Speaking with one of his fellow mates in the BB House, Coolio revealed in the latest episode of the show that he held that all computers come from outer space.
“All this technology. You think it came from this planet? [expletive] I don't think men are that smart. I think it came from somewhere else.” the 45 year-old “Gangsta” rapper told his mate as to his view on who made PCs. Similarly, the movies that run in cinemas and that we later buy on DVDs are not just pieces of fiction – not if you ask Coolio, at least.
During the same episode, the aging rapper said that films could actually predict the future, which should also mean we pay closer attention to whatever message they’re sending out because it is bound to happen in the future. “Movies are made twenty years before they happen. Look at ‘Face Off’ with John Travolta. Nobody thought that [expletive] would happen, but it has. The movie ‘Independence Day’ – that’s gonna happen.” Coolio explained.
The much-enlightening talk then continued with musings on the pyramids on Mars, and concluded with Coolio coming to the realization that almost anything whose inner workings are anywhere beyond his power of comprehension must be of alien origin. The reasoning was, just like with computers, that no man is that smart to create all this that we see, and use, nowadays. “Microbiotics, computer science, jet planes - they came from a different planet.” was Coolio’s conclusion.
