Earlier this year (in July, to be precise), developer Realmac Software announced plans to offer Snow Leopard compatibility across its entire lineup of applications, including programs like RapidWeaver and LittleSnapper. The former, now at version 4.3.1, has finally added full support for Snow Leopard, as well as many other fixes and improvements, according to its makers.

Founded in November 2002, Realmac Software is focused on developing useful, easy-to-use programs for Mac OS X. RapidWeaver, the flagship app of the company, was released in June 2004. According to its makers, it has continued to receive excellent reviews to this day.

The program allows anyone to instantly publish photos, movies and blogs online, since no knowledge of complex codes is required, according to the developers. However, while you don't need to know how XHTML or CSS work, in order to get started with RapidWeaver, code-savvy users do have the ability to place HTML, PHP or CSS codes throughout the application, for even better results.

The latest version of the app brings not only Snow Leopard compatibility, but also the ability to add and edit links in Styled Text views via the right-click contextual menu. Better error reporting when uploading to MobileMe is also incorporated in version 4.3.1, while uploading handles all the assets related to a site.

RapidWeaver uploads the pages themselves to ensure that pages display correctly when published, according to the people at RealMac. As noted above, many other fixes and improvements are to be spotted throughout the use of the new version, which is why existing customers are encouraged to download and install RapidWeaver 4.3.1.

“With powerful tools under the hood, yet a beautifully-familiar user interface built especially for Mac OS X Leopard, RapidWeaver is ideal for anyone looking to create a beautiful website. Whether it's your first or five-hundreth website, RapidWeaver has all the tools you need to quickly create pages you'll be proud of.”
