Lots of brand vendors have similar tablets currently on the market

Chinese manufacturer Ramos seems to be on a tablet launching frenzy. Adhering to the trend, the company is putting out a new 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, dubbed the Ramos i8 Pro.

We sense we don’t even have to tell you what processor you’ll be finding inside, because that's right, you've guessed it, it’s an Intel Atom Bay Trail one.

As you know by now, brand vendors like Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba and ASUS all have Windows 8-based tablets running on the same chip architecture as mentioned above, so the market is getting increasingly crowded.

Interestingly enough, Google has been said to be renouncing the production of new 7-inch tablet models, because the market has become overly-saturated and take up the production of 8-inch slates instead. But by the looks of it, the 8-inch market isn't going to prove much friendlier and airy.

And if you think Dell’s, Lenovo’s and co 8-inch offerings are quite pricey, Ramos has your back with a low-priced Windows 8 tablet with decent specs.

The tablet has an 8-inch IPS display with a pretty average resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, but in league with what we have seen brand vendors offer so far. Power comes from an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor and the tablet is equipped with dual cameras, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (via 1Pad).

If Windows 8 doesn't really agree with you, you should know there’s a Ramos i8 tablet which sells for under $200, powered by Android. The device runs on Intel Atom Z2580 processor, but the Pro model will come with a faster CPU and Windows 8 out of the box.

This will probably translate into a slightly higher price-tag, but we don’t know how much at the moment. Anyway, even if Ramos usually ships its products in China, the tablets are still available for purchase internationally via third-party retailers such as AliExpress, PandaWill or Geekbuying.

We should also remind you Ramos has another interesting model up its sleeve. We’re talking about the Ramos i10 Pro and has been showcased at CES 2014.

What’s special about it in particular is its capacity to dual-boot between Android and Windows 8.1. Apart from that, the 10-inch slate boasts an HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and draws power from an Intel Bay Trail Z3770D processor combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Nevertheless, we can’t help but wonder about the future of dual-OS devices. Recent information coming to us via sources familiar with the matter claimed that ASUS might be canceling its dual-OS Transformer Book Duet, due to pressure coming from Google. So maybe the Ramos i10 Pro won't really make it to retail, either.

Even so, we’re pretty sure the Ramos 8-inch Windows 8 tablet will become a reality soon, so keep an eye for it on the above mentioned websites.
